# Monitor your position

Read vault ownership, NAV, exposure, performance history, and current redemption capacity from the right sources.

Watch your share balance, the value of each share, and how much you can withdraw now. A chart of past returns helps explain the position, but it cannot tell you whether a withdrawal will execute at this moment.

## Share balance

Your share balance tells you how much of the vault you own. The HyperEVM token balance is the ownership record; it does not tell you how much USDC is immediately available for withdrawal.

## NAV and estimated value

NAV is the contract's net asset value after its accounting adjustments. NAV per share estimates the value of one whole share. Look for the observation time alongside both values.

If fresh data is unavailable, an older value should be labeled with its time. Some vault accounting reads can fall back to a saved value when HyperCore reads fail. A returned estimate alone does not prove that data is fresh or an exit is available. VaultLens NAV and transaction previews use strict reads. See [Share accounting](/how-it-works/nav-and-share-accounting.md).

## Exposure and strategy status

The target describes the intended strategy; the current positions show what it holds now. They can differ while prices move or maintenance is pending.

Review the basket, direction, actual exposure, available cash, pending work, and emergency status together. A target leverage value is not evidence that the current portfolio has reached it.

## Performance history

A performance chart shows earlier observations. Check the time range, source, missing periods, and fees included before comparing returns. An incomplete trade history should remain labeled partial. See [Performance methodology](/data-and-transparency/performance-methodology.md).

## Redemption capacity

Current redemption capacity answers how much can exit now. Read capacity again when preparing to exit. A portfolio value is not a promise that the full amount can be redeemed in the next transaction.

## Next steps

Learn which source governs each value, then review the exit flow. Read [Sources of truth](/data-and-transparency/sources-of-truth.md) and [Redeem](/use-ensemble/redeem.md).
