# Important disclosures

The risks to understand before depositing USDC.

A vault can lose money, and you may need to wait to withdraw what remains. These limits apply even when the contracts are operating as designed. Understand them before approving a deposit.

## No guaranteed return

Vault values can rise or fall. Configured leverage, direction, and historical performance are not forecasts or guarantees.

## Loss of capital

Users can lose a substantial portion of deposited capital. High leverage and fast markets can accelerate losses.

## No guaranteed liquidity

Share value does not guarantee immediate redemption. Route capacity, EVM liquidity, pending work, pauses, and emergency state can limit access.

## Estimates and data

Displayed observations can be stale, partial, or unavailable. Contract results and transaction receipts control actual settlement.

## Strategy differences

Realized performance can diverge from a simple leveraged basket because of cash buffers, funding, fees, execution, rebalance timing, and compounding.

## External systems

HyperCore, tokens, RPC services, wallets, and cross-chain systems introduce independent risks beyond Ensemble's contracts.

## Before signing

Review the vault, network, spender, amount, fees, and wallet request before signing. If a strategy or transaction is unclear, use the [user guides](/use-ensemble/using-ensemble.md) and resolve the uncertainty before approving funds.
